AGM August 16th 2015

The Agenda for the 2015 AGM is as follows:

Previous Minutes

Managers Report

-finances

- market bookings

- advertising

Stall fees - proposed to keep stall fees at $55 for casual and $190 for any four markets booked, trestles table hire $12

January 2016 Market Date - to be discussed if members would like to have this date maintained or if they feel it best that the makers market season commences in February 2016.

Clean Up at end of market day - request from manager and clean up crew that hired tables be collapsed and laid on floor and that chairs be stacked on chairs in the vacinity to make it easier for committee members to clean up at end of a long market day.

End of Day Leaving - request to update Terms and Conditons to reflect the following: Pack up items in Rooms, then remove them to atrium then to collect vehicles for loading.  This will ensure an easy leaving for all stall holders and reduce car park overcrowding.

Annual General Meeting

AGM for the financial year 2013/14 will occur on August 17th at approx 9am.


All currently paid stall holders (members) are invivted to participate. If you have any items for inclusion in the agenda please forward them to managment.

In other news - we are officially fully booked for the remainder of 2014. 2015 applications will open from August 30th onwards.

2014....building quickly!

Wow - another year over - I swear they are going by faster and faster!


2014 has already started on a high.  Our January market was filled with 30+ stalls which for the 'holiday' month is wonderful - sadly we were at 40+ stalls however had a few stall holders affected by the recent fires and they needed to be with their families and on the front line.  We at the Makers Market woudl like to send them all our best wishes and hope that relief and rebuilding comes soon x


We are pleased to report however that the market day itself was a good one. We had a nice regular foot traffic throughout the day and most stalls reported to having a good trade. Our customer base throughout the day was a wonderful mix of age groups, locals and tourists with all commenting on the quality and range of good avaliable.


We are very pleased to have regular food stalls attending the market with a range of sweet treats to savoury goodies avaliable.  It is also very exciting to announce that this year we have a wonderful variety of stalls already booked in!


Feburary and March are already almost booked out with April following closely behind - we also have quite a few booked in for Nov/Dec with lots of folks wanting to get in early!


Looking forward to a wonderful and handmade filled 2014 x

Second Market in December 2014 - proposed to drop second market as Shirt and Skirts will no longer be holding the second December date and the Makers Market Inc will need to sign rental agreement contract for next year in the next month

 

Interest in joining committee - call out for any interested parties to join committee

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS (paid stallholders)


Please be aware that at the August Market during setup we will be holding out AGM.


If you have any requests for items added to the agenda could you please forward them to the manager at [email protected] by the 12th of August as the agenda will be sent out to all current members for review.
